We’ve been working for 2 days to make Universal-SIM support iPhone 3G v2.2. Until now we haven’t had success with this so we re commend all users DON’T UPDATE TO V2.2 as Universal-SIM will stop working with your iPhone!

Today we’ve release 2 new software updates for your Universal-SIM.

Standard V600 what’s new: -> Download here

1. User Manual Updated for V600
2. Solved many bugs from previous version
3. Added custom presets configuration. It’s easy now to apply your favorite presets. Read user manual for more information
4. Tested with more than 180 operator simcards.
5. Added new smartcard reader types. You won’t be required to use only PKEY Vista to perform the update procedure. You can use now serial smartcard readers! ( non ISO )

For us, Universal-SIM Team nothing makes more pleasure that letting you know the latest news about Universal-SIM:

Universal-SIM has been successfully tested on iPhone 3G software version 2.1.  It is working perfect!

For normal phones we’ve decided to release beta version before stable version. We have uploaded V520 - Standard beta 1 to downloads section. You can also find user manual in downloads section.

• READ THE FOLLOWING INFORMATIONS:

New settings in Universal-SIM Update & Configuration Software V271:

Default settings are:
Speed setting: Use card default baudrate
ATR setting: Use card ATR
Unlock Type: Direct Unlock

Speed setting(default): Use card default baudrate
Usefull for: this is the default setting and should work on most of your cards types.

Speed setting: Use standard baudrate (~10k)
Usefull for: use this settings to minimize communication errors

Speed setting: Force ~50k baudrate and Force ~100k baudrate
Usefull for: use this setting to try to make bootup of the phone faster. May not work on your simcard type.

ATR Setting(default): Use card ATR
Usefull for: This is the default setting. Will work with most of the cards.
ATR Setting: Use Dummy ATR
Usefull for: if you’ve got Insert Card Message and you are sure you inseterd the card correctly you can try this.

Unlock type(default): Direct Unlock
Usefull for: Works with the majority of mobile phones and cards.

Unlock type: Unlock using phone menu
Usefull for: Use this when the first setting dosen’t work and when you have a simcard with STK enabled. ( Sim application Toolkit )

Unlock type: Direct Unlock experimental
Usefull for: Almost all mobile phones. After better testing we will make this option as the default one.
Use this if you encounter problems with phone freeze or hangs ( U310 and others )/
Also this solves Sagem W8 agenda problem and other simmilar problems.

Unlock type: Direct Unlock Fast
Usefull for: Some phones will work with this setting faster than other settings but this WILL NOT work on ALL models !

ATTENTION:
Use the Read Settings and log button to check if your settings are correctly applied to Universal-SIM.

ATTENTION:
Don’t forget after you select desired settings to select appropriate phone model button. Otherwhise the settings will not be applied to Universal-SIM.

Summary:

1. You can use “Direct Unlock experimental” also for NOKIA phones. YOU MUST SELECT NOKIA NEW BUTTON WHEN APPLYING SETTIGS. Should work faster and better now than ever.
2. Use “Direct Unlock experimental” for phones that hang or for agenda problems ( LG U310 / Sagem phones including W8 )
3. Use “Use Dummy ATR” if you have Insert SIM messages on the phones ( ATTENTION Use Dummy atr don’t work on softbank phones )

There is new feature in this version that we will explain here:

1. program the card with latest version ( 252 )
2. make the appropriate settings
3. insert into locked mobile phone
4. power on phone and wait for about 2 minutes …
5. power off phone
6. insert Univerasal-SIM into the card reader
7. press Read Settings & Log button
8. Check the Card Log!!

If the card log shows: “!! SOLUTION WORKING !!” that means your phone/card combination is compatible with current unlock solution. If you still have some problems you can try to uncheck enhanced mode or even use the manual mode.

If the card log shows: “S111FF..” so anything else but !! SOLUTION WORKING !!…. that means for sure you will not be able to use the phone in this way so there is no point in loosing time and make ajustments to software.
ATTENTION The card only remembers the first successful attempt. YOU NEED TO WRITE SETTINGS EVERY TIME YOU NEED TO CHECK IF A PHONE IS COMPATIBLE OR NOT WITH THE SOLUTION!

!!! Write Settings also performs LOG ERASE !!! so use it.
